Our aim at Noolibird is to provide your children with fabrics and wallpapers to transform their bedrooms into a special place, where their imagination's can wander and there's no need to grow up too fast.

I have always enjoyed experimenting with lino-cuts, wood blocks and stencils, but it has been an exciting new challenge to design a range of stamps, some of which I have used in my fabric designs.

As a Mum I have taken the themes for the Noolibird collection from the things that captivate my own two children and their friends. Our medieval pageant was inspired by my 7 year old son Jack’s fascination with the fantasy world of knights, dragons and damsels in distress, while both the lions and giraffe that lurk amongst our jungle foliage and our free-range farmyard friends were inspired by my younger son Josh and his love of the natural world.

Credit for our fairy garden is currently claimed by all the little girls I know – but then, which little girl doesn’t dream of fairies? Drawing on both the images conjured up by these themes and my experience as a mother has helped me to create a range of products that are imaginative and functional – and that will ensure that bedtime stories continue long after lights out.
