There's a particular joy in building a garden on paper — choosing where to plant the tomato, tucking a watering can into the corner, sending a gardener off to tend the rows. This new collection of garden rubber stamps is for exactly that: designing your own dream garden scene, one print at a time. Perfect for card making, garden journalling and summer craft projects.

Each design begins as an original lino cut in my studio, drawn from the plants and tools of my own garden. I make them up into rubber stamps so you can print them again and again — onto cards, journal pages, wrapping paper, even fabric — and they keep the slightly textured, characterful marks of the original cut. The kind of lines that make a hand-printed image feel alive, rather than digitally perfect.

The designs

  • Tomato Plant — 8 × 9 cm
  • Geranium (Pelargonium) Plant — 8.5 × 9.5 cm
  • Geranium Plant, Small — 7.5 × 7.8 cm
  • Watering Can — 9.5 × 8 cm
  • Watering Can, Small — 7 × 5.5 cm
  • Gardener 1 — 10 × 6.5 cm
  • Gardener 2 — 8.5 × 5.5 cm

A few ways to use them

Print a length of brown kraft paper to wrap a gardener's birthday gift, with a single Gardener stamp on the tag. Layer the geranium over a wash of pink watercolour for a small botanical study to frame. Build a seed-sowing journal and stamp the watering can in the corner of every month's page. The smaller geraniums and watering cans repeat beautifully along an envelope flap or down the side of a sheet of notepaper.

These designs also play nicely with old favourites from other Noolibird ranges — try the watering can beside the robin from the Bird & Animal stamps, or surrounded by hedgehogs and apple trees from the Fruit Tree & Pretty Garden range. The Unicorn, Japanese Flowers, Garden Herbs, and Cat & House Plant ranges all sit happily alongside this collection too.

Stamp along with me

I've made a short video showing how I built the sample image — a lovely way to pick up a few fresh techniques while you stamp along.

Ink pads used in the sample image

Most of the image was stamped using VersaFine Clair ink pads, with a couple of VersaColor pads (Charcoal and Green Tea). The maple tree trunk was finished in pencil crayon.

UK shipping is £3.50 — orders usually dispatched within 1–2 working days from our studio on the South Coast. International shipping £10. Personalised stamps take 7–10 days from order to delivery. Any questions about your order, get in touch and I'll be happy to help.
