River Landscape with Chalk Horse & Swans — Alfriston Lino Cut Rubber Stamp

This landscape is especially close to my heart — it depicts a much-loved family walk, and my dog's favourite too, as she adores swimming in the river.

A beautiful scene capturing the river at Alfriston and the Litlington White Horse — a giant chalk horse carved into the East Sussex hillside in 1836. My original lino cut design features elegant swans in the foreground, and if you look carefully you'll spot sheep and cows grazing peacefully in the fields beyond. The landscape is wonderfully detailed and shown here stamped in soft, summery tones.

The design also comes with a separate heron stamp, which can be stamped in a darker shade in the foreground to add depth and a lovely focal point to your scene.

The stamped examples shown were created using Cyan Blue, Sage Green and Green Tea VersaColor inks, along with Rainforest VersaFine Clair, with the heron stamped in Charcoal VersaColor.
