Geranium Plant Rubber Stamp | Pelargonium Stamp for Card Making

Geraniums (or Pelargoniums, if you're being botanically correct) are one of my all-time favourites — the kind of plant that lives on every windowsill of my house, blooming pink and red right through the summer. It was high time I added a potted geranium to the Noolibird range, and here she is, in two sizes — a beautiful geranium rubber stamp for card making, garden journalling and summer paper projects.

The design began as an original lino cut in my studio. The leaves want to be a little ruffled at the edges, the flowers a soft cluster of small petals; once printed, you can see the cut marks tracing the veins of every leaf — the kind of texture that makes a hand-printed image feel grown rather than designed.

A few ways to use her

Print the geranium on the front of a card with a soft wash of charming pink for the flowers and a deep terracotta for the pot — instant Mediterranean summer. Repeat the small geranium down the side of a sheet of notepaper, alternating pink and coral. Build a windowsill scene in your garden journal with a row of potted geraniums in different colours. Or stamp her onto a length of brown kraft paper for the prettiest hand-printed gift wrap for a plant-loving friend.

She looks lovely stamped alongside the watering can and robin from the Garden Stamps or Vegetable Stamps ranges, or beside the trowel and shears for a gardener's-bench scene. The set of three little daubers is particularly useful here — it lets you ink the leaves, flowers and pot in different colours without mixing on the stamp itself (find them on the ink pad page).
